Objectives
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Learn new coding standards.
  2. Discuss how to recognize patient comorbidities and severity of illness.
  3. Improve performance metrics such as utilization of severity of illness and risk of mortality.
  4. Explain specific quality scores such as hospital acquired conditions (HACs) and patient safety indicators (PSIs).
