This course combines didactic information, with simulation training, for physicians, nurses, and certified midwives who deliver babies and care for pregnant women at each of the AdventHealth Orlando obstetric campuses. The focus is on several aspects of simulation training including:

• Teamwork
• Postpartum hemorrhage
• Maternal cardiac code
• Shoulder dystocia
• Hypertension management
• Response to abnormal fetal heart tracings

This course meets the requirements for:

• AdventHealth CFD-S and must be completed every 18 months
• Has been approved for Physicians ABOG MOC Part IV

To claim MOC points the mandatory pre-test must be completed and submitted prior to attending the course; the post-test must be completed and submitted before completing the evaluation.  After registration, select the Begin option above.

Training is held the 4th Thursday of every month

Due to limited seating, if you are unable to attend the date you registered for, please contact the CPD department, (407) 303-8297 to cancel registration and make the seat available for someone else.  For a full refund, cancellations must be made a week prior to the training date.  Cancellations made after that are subject to a $50 processing fee.

Certificate

Certificates are awarded after your evaluation has been submitted and will be available to print immediately.  If you have a Florida license and would like credit(s) to be uploaded to CE Broker, your license number must be entered on your profile.  CE Broker will not accept credit(s) without the license number.

You are encouraged to print and save your certificate for your portfolio as required by your licensing body.

2. Analyze the effects of cumulative blood loss on maternal symptoms.
3. Discuss the purpose of a debriefing session.
4. Recognize and implement strategies for effective communications.
5. Compare maneuvers based on brachial plexus stretch.
