ANCC Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate application of High Reliability principles during simulated clinical scenarios and team-based exercises.
  2. Analyze team performance and system vulnerabilities using behavior-based reflection during facilitated debriefs.
  3. Translate High Reliability principles into actionable strategies for implementation within their unit or clinical setting.
  4. Apply error prevention and structured communication strategies to identify and mitigate risk in real time.
  5. Demonstrate behaviors that promote psychological safety, including speaking up and encouraging team input during clinical decision-making.
  6. Evaluate confidence levels on post-course surveys in their ability to apply High Reliability behaviors, support team communication, and improve safety practices, as measured by post-activity evaluation.
