2025 AHCI Oncology Nursing Conference (ANCC)

This comprehensive oncology nursing conference is designed for inpatient and outpatient oncology nurses and general nurses to stay informed at the forefront of cancer care. Led by expert clinicians from AdventHealth Cancer Institute and Community Experts, the program will provide an in-depth look at the latest advancements in oncology nursing, including novel treatment strategies, emerging therapies, and best practices for managing complex patient needs. Through case-based lectures, interactive discussions, and collaborative multidisciplinary panels, attendees will gain practical insights into optimizing care for cancer patients at all stages of treatment and survivorship. By the end of the conference, participants will be equipped with actionable knowledge and strategies to enhance their clinical practice, improve patient outcomes, and foster effective teamwork in oncology care.

1. Recognize mindful self-care and self-compassion techniques to reconnect with personal purpose, reduce burnout, and foster resilience and sustained engagement in professional healthcare practice.
2. Identify the key principles of breast cancer radiation therapy and strategies for long-term survivorship care to promote overall health and well-being in breast cancer survivors.
3. Describe the practices of palliative care aimed at enhancing quality of life for cancer patients, including symptom management, psychosocial support, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs throughout the cancer journey
4. Indicate recent oncology drug approvals and their implications for treatment decision-making and patient care in current oncology practice
5. Recognize the hallmark symptoms of CRS and ICANS and initial management strategies for both conditions as recommended by the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
6. Describe the distinct role of genetic counseling in oncology care and valuable strategies for effective collaboration between nurses and genetic counselors to enhance patient support and care coordination.
7. Identify the unique clinical, psychosocial, and survivorship needs of the young adult oncology population and evidence-based strategies for age-appropriate management to improve outcomes and quality of life for this distinct group.
