  2. 1. Neurology a. Recognize the pathophysiology, clinical presentations, and progression of various neurological conditions b. Describe the principles and applications of neurophysiological tests including EMG and nerve conduction studies. c. Discuss the use of neuroimaging / testing modalities such as MRIs and CT scans, used for diagnosis and treatment d. Differentiate evidence-based treatment options for patient centered approach and optimum outcomes
  3. . Neurosurgery a. Identify the indications for neurosurgical interventions and associated risks b. Explain the principles of surgical approaches to the brain and spinal cord. c. Review advancements in neurosurgical techniques and technology, including minimally invasive and robotic assisted surgeries. d. Implement evidence-based guidelines for postoperative care to optimize patient outcomes e. Identify signs and symptoms of neurosurgical emergencies such as intracranial hemorrhage and caude equine syndrome
  4. . Generalize a. Foster effective communication and teamwork with other healthcare professionals involved in neurological and neurosurgical care b. Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning. c. Advocate for patient-centered care by integrating perspectives from neurology, neurosurgery, and other relevant fields.
