  1. Describe how coercion and grooming tactics are used in online environments to facilitate human trafficking.
  2. Identify clinical and behavior indicators that may suggest a patient may be a victim of human trafficking.
  3. Identify risk factors, red flags, and common health problems associated with human trafficking victims and survivors.
  4. Apply the principles of trauma-informed care when caring for potential victims of human trafficking.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Define human trafficking, including distinctions between sex trafficking and labor trafficking.
  2. Describe the prevalence and scope of human trafficking in the United States and Florida.
  3. Describe the prevalence and scope of human trafficking in the United States and Florida.
  4. Identify risk factors, warning signs, and common health issues associated with human trafficking victims and survivors.
  5. Demonstrate methods for supporting both suspected and confirmed victims of human trafficking within healthcare and community settings.
  6. Apply trauma-informed care principles when providing services to individuals affected by human trafficking.
