This inaugural AdventHealth Antimicrobial Stewardship Symposium will offer a forum for leaders in Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship across AdventHealth and those practicing at various institutions across Florida. The event will include several presentations from leaders in the field of antimicrobial stewardship, as well as networking opportunities. The topic of antimicrobial stewardship encompasses many disciplines across the hospital setting. This symposium is ideal for physicians, PAs, APRNs, RNs, pharmacists, microbiologists, lab technicians, healthcare administration, epidemiologists, infection preventionists, and any other healthcare professional interested in advancing antimicrobial stewardship. A variety of topics relevant to best practices in Antimicrobial Stewardship will be presented including rapid diagnostics, multi-drug resistant infections and special patient populations.

  11. Determine best practices for isolation procedures for patients with multi-drug resistant infections
  12. Discuss stewardship considerations in pediatric patients
  13. Review current practices leading to the elimination of hepatitis C
  14. Identify the impact of the Central Florida hepatitis A outbreak
  15. Review optimal management strategies for the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) in hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) patients

Important Restrictions

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing within 14 days before the activity to receive a full refund.  If the activity is cancelled by AdventHealth Orlando, the exhibitor will receive a full refund, paid within 10 business days.  Refer questions to Sarah Minor.
