Asyia Ahmad is a Gastroenterologist at Doylestown Health in Pennsylvania and a Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine.  She is the former Chief of Gastroenterology and the Program Director for the Gastroenterology Fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital. She was the President of the Delaware Valley Society for Gastrointestinal Society from 2018 to 2020 and the Program Director for the prestigious American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program for women from 2017-2019. She also served as the Director of National forum for GI disorders in women which was held 5 times in Philadelphia, Pa.  Her research interests include gastrointestinal motility disorders, gender-based issues within gastroenterology, procedural and teaching competencies, novel training techniques, and leadership and mentorship.
