Rachel Humphrey, M. D.

Rachel Humphrey, M. D. first came to Orlando, Florida for her OB/Gyn residency in 1996 after completing her medical degree at Michigan State University.  During her residency, Dr. Humphrey was blessed to have her first of three children and the joys of motherhood helped fuel her desire to pursue a career in high-risk pregnancy care.  As a resident, Dr. Humphrey won awards for her research in preterm labor and awards for teaching.  She served as academic Chief Resident in her fourth year and was named Resident of the Year in 2000 for her commitment to quality outcomes and patient care.  She completed her Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at Washington University.  Her love of research and teaching continued during her fellowship, Dr. Humphrey was named best teaching faculty in 2003 and was awarded the prestigious Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine Scholarship award for her research in placental clot formation and healing.  In 2004, Dr. Humphrey returned to Orlando to serve the women of Central Florida with her strong dedication to the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine and her desire to help pregnant women successfully navigate pregnancy complications.  She worked as teaching faculty with the residency program at Orlando Health/Winnie Palmer for 7 years.  In 2011, Dr. Humphrey joined the AdventHealth Medical Group (then known as the Florida Hospital Medical Group) to establish the Maternal Fetal Program for this system, where she continues to play an active role in local and national lectures while working as Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine for the system.
